NTA AI Helpline in Testing for NEET, JEE, CUET Queries

The NTA AI helpline is under testing and is not live yet. It will answer application queries from NEET UG, JEE Main, CUET and UGC NET candidates. NTA is the National Testing Agency, which runs these exams.

The National Testing Agency has not announced the service. India Today and Shiksha reported the test on October 15, 2026. A launch date is not confirmed.

What is the NTA AI helpline?

The NTA AI helpline is an AI-enabled phone service. It answers routine questions for NEET UG, JEE Main, CUET and UGC NET candidates. The answers come from details already held by NTA.

Which number will the NTA AI helpline use?

The toll-free number is 1800 180 47 47. Earlier, NTA used this line for the High Power Task Force on exam reform.

That task force was led by Nandan Nilekani, the Infosys co-founder. Now 1800 180 47 47 moves to candidate queries.

Which exams and queries will it cover?

The plan names NEET UG, JEE Main, CUET and UGC NET candidates. The scope is not final.

One exam is NEET UG, for medical seats. Another, JEE Main, is for engineering.

Then there is CUET, the Common University Entrance Test. A UGC NET pass is needed for assistant professor posts.

Candidates for NEET UG and JEE Main can ask about forms, fees, eligibility and deadlines. Several Indian languages are planned, though NTA has not named them.

What should NEET and JEE candidates do until the helpline is live?

For now, send your query from the email registered with NTA. Put the application number in the subject line.
