ICSE 2027 exam timing may change for Class 10 students. CISCE is considering a 10 am start, not 11 am. Students would sit by 9:45 am and write from 10:15 am. The plan is proposed, not yet confirmed.
The revised schedule reached examination conveners this month. Education portals Shiksha and EduProspect reported it on October 14, 2026. No official notice has come from CISCE.
An earlier start means an earlier morning. Students now reach the hall by 10:30 am. Under the plan, they must sit by 9:45 am. That is 45 minutes sooner.
What are the proposed ICSE 2027 exam timings?
The proposed day starts one hour early. Question paper packets reach centres before 9:15 am. Reading time then runs for 15 minutes from 10:00 am.
Writing begins at 10:15 am. A two-hour paper ends at 12:15 pm. A three-hour paper ends at 1:15 pm.
| What happens | Now (11 am start) | Proposed (10 am start) |
|---|---|---|
| Students seated | 10:30 am | 9:45 am |
| Reading time | 10:45 am | 10:00 am (15 minutes) |
| Writing starts | 11:00 am | 10:15 am |
| Three-hour paper ends | about 2:00 pm | 1:15 pm |
Why does CISCE want a 10 am start?
CISCE runs two board exams together. ICSE is the Class 10 exam, while ISC is for Class 12.
Some days hold papers from both. An earlier finish gives centres more time between them. Education portals say CISCE is also talking to the banks that store question papers.
Is the new ICSE 2027 exam timing confirmed?
No. The change is not official. Nothing has appeared on cisce.org yet.
No national newspaper has carried it either. The timings come from education-portal reports, not from CISCE. Treat them as expected, not confirmed.
When will the ICSE 2027 date sheet come out?
The date sheet is expected in November 2026. Last year the Class 10 dates came on November 13, 2025.
