CampusFeed reports on admission deadlines, examination results, fee rules and eligibility criteria. Readers make decisions with real consequences based on what we publish, so when we get something wrong we fix it openly, quickly and visibly. We never quietly delete a story to hide a mistake.
Our Commitment
Every correction we make is visible to readers. We do not remove articles to make errors disappear, we do not edit a fact away without saying so, and we do not treat a correction as an embarrassment to be minimised. A publication that corrects openly is more trustworthy than one that appears never to err.
How to Report an Error
Email contact@campusfeed.in with the subject line Correction. Please include the article link, the specific statement you believe is incorrect, what you believe the correct information is, and a supporting source or document if you have one.
You do not need to be an official or an institution to report an error. Students and parents spot mistakes in deadline tables and eligibility rules more often than anyone else, and those reports are welcome.
Our Response Time
We acknowledge correction requests within two working days. Clear factual errors, such as a wrong date, figure or spelling, are usually fixed the same day they are verified. Complex disputes that require checking with a regulator or institution may take longer, and we will tell you if that is the case rather than leaving you without a reply.
How We Classify and Handle Corrections
Minor corrections
Spelling, grammar, a misspelled name, a broken link or a formatting error that does not change the meaning of the story. These are fixed and a dated note is added at the bottom of the article recording what changed.
Significant corrections
A wrong fact that changes the meaning of the story, such as an incorrect deadline, an incorrect fee, a wrong eligibility rule, a misattributed quote or an incorrect result figure. These are corrected and a clearly marked correction notice is placed at the top of the article in bold. That notice stays permanently. It is not removed after a few days.
Retractions
Where a story is fundamentally wrong and cannot be repaired by correction, we retract it. The article is replaced with a retraction notice explaining what was wrong and why the story was withdrawn. The URL is kept live so that anyone who linked to or shared the original sees the retraction rather than an error page.
Updates Are Not Corrections
Education news moves. When a board postpones an exam or a university extends a deadline, the original reporting was not wrong, the situation changed. We label these as updates with a date, and keep them distinct from corrections, which record our own errors.
Corrections to Headlines and Social Posts
If an error appeared in a headline or in a post we published on social media, we correct it there too. Correcting the article body while leaving an inaccurate headline or an inaccurate social post circulating is not a real correction.
Transparency Record
Correction notices remain permanently attached to the articles they relate to. We do not remove a correction notice once a reasonable period has passed, because the correction is part of the article’s record.
If You Are Not Satisfied
If you have reported an error and believe we have not handled it properly, write to us again at contact@campusfeed.in marking your message Escalation, and it will be reviewed by our editorial leadership rather than the writer or editor involved.
