The row that decides everything is the third one. Gates shut at 8:30 a.m. IST, half an hour before Shift 1 starts.
The BSF HC RO RM exam date 2026 is November 2. The Border Security Force will run the computer-based test in two shifts, at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. IST. Admit cards opened on October 22 at rectt.bsf.gov.in.
The drive covers 1,121 posts. Its exam date notice went up on rectt.bsf.gov.in on October 19, 2026, with no public notice number on it.
BSF files the drive as Communication Setup Recruitment 2025. CampusFeed could not open that notice PDF on October 22. Five portals quote it and all five give November 2.

How do you download the BSF Head Constable admit card?
Admit cards sit behind the Candidate Login tab on rectt.bsf.gov.in. The login takes a registered email and a password.
Four portals put the download date at October 22, 2026. Two put it at October 21. Career Power, a coaching site, gives the earlier date.
Career Power also publishes the recruitment helpdesk as 011-24368925 and 011-24368926, with edpdte@bsf.nic.in as the email. Neither number is confirmed by BSF.

Reset the password on rectt.bsf.gov.in with the registered email first. Career Power suggests clearing the browser cache, then trying a second browser. The helpdesk numbers above are the next step. Do not leave this until November 1.
What does the CBT paper carry?
The paper has 100 questions for 200 marks, across 120 minutes. Every correct answer earns 2 marks. Every wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | 40 | 80 |
| Mathematics | 20 | 40 |
| Chemistry | 20 | 40 |
| English and General Knowledge | 20 | 40 |
| Total | 100 | 200 |
Physics alone carries 80 of the 200 marks. The paper sits at Class 12 level.
How many posts, and what is the pass mark?
Radio Operator carries 910 posts. Radio Mechanic carries 211, which is less than a quarter of the Radio Operator count.
General, OBC and EWS candidates need 38% in the test. SC and ST candidates need 33%.
Both posts sit at Pay Level 4, from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 a month. OBC stands for Other Backward Classes. EWS stands for Economically Weaker Section.
What comes after the CBT on November 2?
Document verification follows the test. Radio Operator candidates then take a dictation test of 50 marks, plus a paragraph reading test.
A medical examination closes the process. Physical tests are already over, so only candidates who cleared them sit on November 2.
An answer key is expected 3 to 4 days after the exam, with objections filed through the candidate login. That window is expected, not confirmed.
Why the 8:30 a.m. gate closing matters more than the paper
Applications for these 1,121 posts closed on September 23, 2025. The paper lands 13 months later.
Shift 1 reporting runs for one hour, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. IST. Nobody reopens that gate.
Thirteen months of waiting can end in a traffic jam on November 2. Leave early.
