IIT Hyderabad has opened registration for its Applied AI certification program. This IIT Hyderabad Applied AI certification runs from September 19 to October 17, 2026. The early-bird fee is Rs 45,000 for the first 20 seats, before taxes.
The standard fee is Rs 50,000, taxes extra. You register through a Google Form linked on the IIT Hyderabad course page.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering runs the program. IIT is the Indian Institute of Technology.
The certificate comes from IIT Hyderabad itself, not a training partner. That matters. Many AI courses in India carry only a partner brand.
This is the second IIT Hyderabad cohort of 2026. The first ran from August 1 to August 16, 2026.
The first cohort’s early-bird fee was Rs 20,000. The new early-bird fee is Rs 45,000, more than double.
The program is longer now. It runs four weekends across four weeks, not two.
The IIT Hyderabad course is hybrid. Four Saturdays are taught on the IITH campus in Kandi, near Hyderabad, and online.
The teaching days are September 19, September 26, October 3 and October 10. The final weekend is October 17.
Between each Saturday, students build a project online with mentor support.

This program is not for beginners. You need working Python and you need to know REST APIs.
You also need a basic grasp of large language models and generative AI. LLM means large language model. Prior LangChain or LangGraph experience is not required.
Every student builds one production-style AI agent application. The build grows each week.
It starts with structured outputs and tool calling. It then adds memory and enterprise RAG.
The build later adds multi-agent workflows in LangGraph. The last stage adds tracing, evaluation and guardrails.
Dr Praveen Tammana leads the program on the academic side. He is an Assistant Professor in CSE at IIT Hyderabad.
Praveen Tammana holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. He did a postdoc at Princeton University. He worked earlier at Cisco, Intel and Juniper Networks.
N. V. S. S. Koundinya is the industry lead. He is an AI Solution Architect and a BITS Pilani graduate.
Koundinya has more than eight years in AI and machine learning. He is also a patent holder.
The IIT Hyderabad program teaches an open-source stack. Students use LangChain, LangGraph, Qdrant, LangFuse and the Model Context Protocol.
These are tools that applied AI teams use in 2026. The course keeps vendor lock-in low on purpose.
Seats are limited. The Rs 45,000 early-bird price applies to the first 20 people only. After that the fee is Rs 50,000.
Accommodation at the IIT Hyderabad Guest House costs extra. A standard single room is Rs 1,600 a day plus 5% GST. GST is the goods and services tax.
