The National Testing Agency released the JEE Main 2027 syllabus on October 25, 2026, at jeemain.nta.nic.in. It stays unchanged from the 2026 syllabus. No topics were added or dropped in Physics, Chemistry or Maths.
NTA is the government agency that runs the exam, and it posted the syllabus on the JEE Main website.
JEE Main, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), decides B.E. and B.Tech seats at NITs, IIITs and other central colleges.
Last year, NTA put out the 2026 syllabus on October 31, 2025. The 2027 list came six days earlier. Session 1 registration also opened in late October 2026.
What is in the JEE Main 2027 syllabus?
The JEE Main 2027 syllabus lists 54 units across the three subjects, with Physics alone carrying 20 of them. Chemistry and Maths hold the rest, and every topic comes from the NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 books.
Did NTA change the JEE Main 2027 syllabus from 2026?
NTA removed nothing and added nothing, so the 2027 list matches last year topic for topic. Even the 2026 syllabus stayed unchanged from 2025, which means the topics have now held for three years.
Which papers does the JEE Main 2027 syllabus cover?
The syllabus covers all three JEE Main papers. Paper 1 serves B.E. and B.Tech, with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. B.Arch students take Paper 2A, B.Planning students take Paper 2B, and Maths appears in every paper.
