The DU UG Admission 2026 process gives clear relief to CBSE re-evaluation students. They can enter their original Class 12 marks now and update them later.
Delhi University began Phase I of undergraduate admissions on June 27, 2026, through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Nearly 20,000 CBSE students are still waiting for revised Class 12 results after applying for re-evaluation. The university has asked them not to delay their registration.
Who can apply for DU UG Admission 2026?
Any candidate who appeared for CUET UG 2026 can apply for DU UG Admission 2026 through the CSAS portal. Registration uses the CUET application number.
Admission to 73 undergraduate programmes and more than 100 BA programme combinations across 67 colleges rests solely on CUET (UG) 2026 scores, subject to programme-specific eligibility. Candidates register at ugadmission.uod.ac.in, the official DU admission portal. Class 12 marks do not decide merit. DU stopped using board marks for merit-based UG selection in 2022.
DU CSAS 2026 Key Dates and Details
The DU CSAS 2026 process runs in three phases: registration, preference filling, and seat allocation. The table below lists the main details confirmed so far.
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Phase I registration start | June 27, 2026 |
| CUET UG 2026 result declared | June 23, 2026 (NTA) |
| Colleges | 67 colleges |
| Programmes | 73 UG programmes, 100+ BA combinations |
| Basis of admission | CUET (UG) 2026 scores |

The most important point is timing: the portal remains open for several weeks, which is what gives re-evaluation candidates room to update scores.
About Delhi University
The University of Delhi (DU) is a central university established in 1922. It runs undergraduate and postgraduate admissions through the CSAS portal, managed by its Admissions branch. DU offers seats across dozens of colleges and programmes each year and remains one of India’s most applied-to universities. Undergraduate seat allocation is based on CUET UG scores and locked candidate preferences.
What should CBSE re-evaluation students do?
CBSE re-evaluation students should register now and enter their pre-evaluation Class 12 marks in the CSAS portal. They can update the marks after CBSE declares revised results.
“Class XII CBSE students who have applied for re-evaluation but have not yet received their revised scores should enter their pre-evaluation marks in the CSAS portal. They can update their marks once the revised results are declared. Students need not worry, as the CSAS portal will remain open for several weeks,” DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi told ANI.
Gandhi added that Class 12 marks play a limited role in admission. They confirm that a candidate has passed Class 12 and are used only in tie-breaker situations. According to the Education Ministry, of about 1.68 lakh CBSE students who sought verification or re-evaluation, revised results were declared for nearly 1.47 lakh (around 87 percent), with the rest expected soon.
What This Means For You
If you are a student
Do not wait for your revised marks to register. Log in at the CUET admission portal, enter your current Class 12 marks, and complete Phase I now. You can change the marks later once CBSE releases your re-evaluation result. Missing the registration window is a bigger risk than a pending mark.
Turn Your Achievements Into Stories That Students Actually Read
Feature admissions, placements, rankings, events, research initiatives, achievements, and institutional milestones before a highly engaged education-focused audience.
If you are a parent
Your child will not lose a seat because of the re-evaluation delay. Admission depends on the CUET UG 2026 score, not board marks. Help your child gather documents like the Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and a category certificate if it applies, and check the dashboard regularly for updates.
If you are a school principal or teacher
Guide Class 12 students who applied for re-evaluation to register on time with pre-evaluation marks. Remind them that board marks matter only for passing status and tie-breakers. Point them to the official DU portal rather than unofficial links so they avoid errors during Phase I.
What Is Next
Watch for these steps in the DU UG Admission 2026 timeline:
- Revised CBSE results for the remaining students, expected soon.
- CSAS Phase II (subject mapping and preference filling), date to be announced.
- Seat allocation and acceptance in Phase III.
