The NEET UG OMR sheet for the June 21, 2026 re-examination is now live, and candidates can challenge recorded responses till 11:00 AM on July 15, 2026.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) uploaded the scanned images on July 13, 2026 through a public notice on the official NEET (UG) portal. NTA also emailed a scanned copy of each answer sheet to the candidate’s registered email address, giving students two ways to verify their marked answers.
CampusFeed Take
This window is not an answer key challenge, and that distinction will decide who wastes Rs 200 and who does not. NTA has already closed answer key objections. The only valid claim now is a mismatch between the bubble a student physically darkened and the option the scanner recorded. Students who reopen settled answer disputes here will simply lose the fee. Coaching centres and school counsellors should be telling candidates exactly this before Wednesday morning, because the NEET UG result is expected soon after the final answer key is processed, and a scanning error caught now is far easier to fix than a rank contested later. NEET UG OMR Sheet Key Dates And Fees
The NEET UG OMR sheet challenge is a fixed, short window with a per-question fee. NTA has published the following timeline for the re-examination held on June 21, 2026.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Re-examination date | June 21, 2026 |
| Provisional answer key released | June 25, 2026 |
| OMR sheet and recorded responses displayed | July 13, 2026 |
| Challenge window closes | July 15, 2026, 11:00 AM |
| Processing fee | Rs 200 per response challenged |
| Official portal | neet.nta.nic.in |
The most important line in that table is the closing time. It is 11:00 AM, not midnight, so a student who logs in on the evening of July 15 will find the link shut.
About the National Testing Agency
NTA (National Testing Agency) is an autonomous testing body set up in 2017 under the Ministry of Education (MoE). It conducts NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination), CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and other national tests. NEET UG alone draws close to 25 lakh candidates each year, making it the largest undergraduate entrance test in India, according to NTA officials quoted by PTI.
Where can students check the NEET UG OMR sheet?
Candidates can view and challenge the NEET UG OMR sheet only through the candidate login on the official NEET (UG) 2026 website. Login needs the application number and password, followed by OTP-based two-factor authentication.
Inside the portal, students open the “View/Challenge OMR Sheet and Recorded Responses” link, compare the scanned bubble sheet against the recorded option, and flag any question where the two differ. Payment of Rs 200 per question can be made by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. NTA has said the processing fee is refunded if the claim is verified and a scanning error is established.
One point causes confusion every year. NTA has confirmed that the answer key challenge process has already concluded, and no fresh objections to the answer key will be accepted in this window.
What This Means For You
If you are a student
Open your NEET UG OMR sheet today, not on July 15. Check every question where you are certain you marked an option, especially the ones you erased or re-marked. Raise a challenge only if the scanner recorded something different from what you darkened. Disagreeing with the correct answer is not grounds for a claim here.
If you are a parent
Your child needs about an hour of quiet time and a working payment method, nothing more. Do not push them to file challenges on many questions to feel safer, because each one costs Rs 200 and only genuine scanning mismatches will be accepted. Keep the acknowledgement page and payment receipt saved.
Turn Your Achievements Into Stories That Students Actually Read
Feature admissions, placements, rankings, events, research initiatives, achievements, and institutional milestones before a highly engaged education-focused audience.
If you are a school principal or teacher
Class 12 medical-stream students in your school may not know the difference between an answer key challenge and an OMR recording challenge. A five-minute clarification in assembly or on the class group can prevent avoidable spending and avoidable panic before Wednesday morning.
If you run a college or university
Medical and allied-health institutions should plan for a compressed admission calendar. The final answer key and result follow this window, and counselling timelines for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats will move quickly once ranks are published.
What Is Next
NTA will process the accepted challenges, then publish the final answer key and the NEET UG result. Key dates to watch:
- July 15, 2026, 11:00 AM: OMR challenge window closes.
- After July 15, 2026: final answer key and result expected on neet.nta.nic.in.
Have you checked whether your recorded responses match your marked sheet yet?
