What it is: a free OpenAI page with 100 ready-made ChatGPT prompts for students.
The cost: nothing. It works on a free ChatGPT login, no paid plan.
Where: chatgpt.com/100chats, sorted into Study, Career and Life.
The catch: OpenAI’s stronger student plugin is paid and college-only. This page is not.
OpenAI runs a free page with 100 ready-made ChatGPT prompts for students. The page sits at chatgpt.com/100chats. About 70 students from more than 50 universities helped build it. The 100 prompts are sorted into three groups: Study, Career and Life. Every prompt is free. You do not need a paid plan. You do not need your college to sign up. You open ChatGPT, log in, and click a prompt. OpenAI put the page live in October 2025.
What is the 100chats page?
Most students use only a small part of what ChatGPT can do. This page fills that gap. It hands you a starting prompt so you do not face a blank box.
What do the Study prompts do?
The Study group is the one for exams. One prompt asks ChatGPT to grade your essay draft before your teacher sees it. You paste the essay. ChatGPT returns a likely grade and a fix list. A second Study prompt turns your chapter notes into 15 flashcards. A third builds a day-by-day study plan for one exam.
What do the Career prompts do?
The Career group targets the job hunt. One prompt reads your course list and names jobs that fit. You can paste your syllabus instead of typing it. A second Career prompt acts as an interviewer and asks 8 practice questions. That helps before a campus placement round.
What do the Life prompts do?
The Life group covers daily problems. One Life prompt explains the small print in a rental agreement. A student shifting to a hostel city pastes the lease and reads it in plain words. A second Life prompt coaches public speaking before a class presentation.
How to open and use the page
Here is how to open chatgpt.com/100chats. Type the address in any browser. Log in with a free ChatGPT account. Pick one category: Study, Career or Life. Click any of the 100 prompts. It drops into your chat box, ready to edit. Swap in your own subject, then send.
Is this the same as the paid student plugin?
Is this the same as OpenAI’s new student plugin? No. OpenAI launched a separate College Student plugin on August 4, 2026. That plugin is stronger. But it runs only inside a paid ChatGPT Edu workspace that a college buys and sets up. Almost no Indian college runs ChatGPT Edu today. The 100chats page needs none of that. It is the free tool that works right now.
Does studying with ChatGPT count as cheating?
Does studying with ChatGPT count as cheating? It depends on the use. Asking ChatGPT to write your essay and submitting it as yours is cheating. Asking it to quiz you, explain a topic, or check a draft is study help. All 100 prompts on this page are built for the second kind.
One habit keeps the work yours. Add a limit to every prompt. Tell ChatGPT “give feedback, do not rewrite”. Tell it “quiz me, hide the answer”. Tell it “do not invent sources”. You keep thinking. ChatGPT only checks and pushes.
What should you never paste into ChatGPT? Do not paste private
